The Original Octabong Story:
Like thousands of beer bongers across the globe, we tinkered over the years with party devices to race beer against each other. Unsatisfied with the single chamber funnels available to make a multi-bonger beer dominator, we decided to reinvent the way beer is dispensed in a group bong.
The drawing board: Tracing the history of popular beer bonging from the 1960’s through the use of injected/extruded plastics, we concluded that the current vessels (typically used for oil and food servicing) were inefficient for accurate group beer racing.
Because:
- Single oil funnels group bongs with manifolded PVC are flawed because an equal amount of beer cannot be measured to each connected tube.
- The number of tubes requires a similar amount of bongers, which cannot be changed depending on the amount of partiers available.
- Differing beers poured into the funnel from each bonger become commingled which tastes horrible and isn’t desirable.
Thus, what was needed was our “Compartmented Fluid Dispensing Apparatus”, aka. “The Original Octabong” which would separate measurable amount of beer to any combination of beer bongers simultaneously as well as be as compact as possible. Beer would finally be distributed to only those yielding a chamber space/tube on the Octabong, therefore creating accurate races with separated beer!
This also corrected the issue of nasty group beer bonging with various beers because each beer would be isolated from the other chambers!
